This class is for people who come from outside the UK, who know very little English. You will practise speaking and listening, reading and writing in English in the class. You will learn how to talk with friends, neighbours and other people in your life: to write and talk about your day, shopping, free time, travel and health. This course caters especially for learners who need a little extra support.

Eligibility:
Learners must be over 19 on the 31st August of the academic year they start their learning. If not ordinarily resident in UK for 3 years please speak to a member of staff to confirm eligibility for funding.
How will the course be taught?
This course is delivered by a professionally qualified tutor. There will be a mixture of group, paired and individual work. You will also receive homework tasks each week.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will receive written feedback in your learning log each week along with having your work marked and verbal feedback during the sessions.
Prior Knowledge:
You will complete an assessment before the course to find out if this course is for you.
What do I need to bring?
Bring yourself. It is a good idea to bring a notepad, ring binder and pens.
